At the beginning of each new year I ask myself,
"why do I want to be a Practice Consultant. What motivates
me?" The answer has been consistent for over 12 years. There
is nothing I like better than helping a therapist do the work they
love while they thrive personally and professionally.
After 18 years of State Mental Hospital service,
watching my staff and myself suffer from stress and burnout, I vowed
to work in a mental health service environment that was as healthy
for the provider as it was for the client. But after searching for
a place like that to work, I finally realized I would have to create
this vision for myself.
Once I mastered the ins and outs of running a
healthy, successful community-counseling center I discovered I loved
helping others do the same. My mission statement followed naturally:
"Helping Mental Health Professionals create practices that
are as good for them as they are for their clients and the communities
they serve."
In pursuing this mission, I discovered a delightful
bonus-each successful practice touches more people than I could
ever hope to contact alone. And, since every practice is unique,
there is more diversity than I would ever be able to imagine from
my single perspective.
Ask yourself right now, "What is the life
I want? What is my life mission?" If a successful professional
practice is part of your picture, PracticesMadePerfect can help
make your vision a reality.
Warmly
